DILEMMA OF A 21 YEARS OLD GIRL

Months before my 21st birthday, I was much excited about on how shall my 'big day' be celebrated. Not worrying much about the finance, I was trying hard to come out with a list of guest that I would want to share this happy moment with. Soon, I got tired and bored about the plan. Nothing seems to came up. I gave up the plan.

A thought then hit me. 21 years old. So what? Not like anyone would wanna notice, well, except for the reminder that you're a year older & bragging about reaching the 'legal age' or 'freedom' age.

I couldn't care much about the number. Although in reality, age really does matter, especially when dealing with legal stuff. What really matters is the life that I'm gonna live and how would it be painted -where maturity and growth was my concern.

Freedom, after all wasn't a big deal to me. It was given to me unexpectedly when I was much younger. I had the freedom to choose many things that others my age back then wouldn't have the chance to do so; What school I wanted to to study in, which college to be in, which friends to mix with, what kind of life to live in... But it wasn't all. Somehow I didn't have the freedom to choose everything that I wish or hope for. But I had the freedom to make decisions in life.

Though I had to admit that I'm feeling a little regretful of not making it 'the day', I'm glad that I'm still leading a simple, normal life, enjoying not the world's riches, but His. :)
